সিটি কাউন্সিল নির্বাচন ডিস্ট্রিক্ট-২৫ এ আমাকে নির্বাচিত করুন : ফাতিমা বারিয়াব

ফাতিমা বারিয়াব। ৭ নভেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত নিউইয়র্ক সিটি কাউন্সিলের নির্বাচনে ডিস্ট্রিক্ট ২৫ থেকে অংশ নিচ্ছেন। তিনি এর আগেও অংশ নিলেও জয়ী হতে পারেননি। তবে এবার তিনি জয়ী হওয়ার ব্যাপারে আশাবাদী। তিনি চান বাংলাদেশীসহ তার কমিউনিটির এবং পুরো এশীয়ান কমিউনিটি অন্যান্য কমিউনিটির ভোটে তিনি জয়ী হবেন। এই জন্য তিনি সবার কাছে ভোট চেয়েছেন। এবং তাকে সিটি কাউন্সিলর পদে নির্বাচিত করে কাজ করার জন্য সুযোগ দেওয়ার অনুরোধ করেছেন। ফাতেমা কমিউনিটিতে বেশ কয়েক বছর ধরেই কাজ করছেন। এর আগের বারের নির্বাচনে তিনি অংশ নিয়ে কমিউনিটির অতি পরিচিত মুখ হয়ে উঠেন। 
ফাতেমা ক্যাম্পেইন টিম থেকে জানানো হয়, তার নির্বাচনী এলাকা জ্যাকসন হাইটস ও এলমহার্স্ট।  নির্বাচনী প্রচারণায় তিনি বেশ কয়েকটি বিষয়কে অত্যন্ত গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছেন। এরমধ্যে রয়েছে অপরাধে বিষয়ে জিরো টলারেন্স নীতি। গ্রীন এবং ক্লিন নেইবার হুড। সিনিয়র সিটিজেনদের জন্য এক্সপান্ড সার্ভিসেস, পাবলিক স্কুলের জন্য আরো বেশি ফান্ড আনা , সবার জন্য অ্যাফোর্ডেবল হাউজিংয়ের ব্যবস্থা করা এবং নির্বাচিত হতে পারলে তার ডিস্ট্রিক্ট অফিস তিনি ৭দিনই ২৪ ঘন্টার জন্য খোলা রাখতে চান এবং কমিউনিটির জন্য তার নির্বাচনী এলাকার মানুষের জন্য সেবা দিতে চান। 
তিনি বলেন, ইয়ূর ভোট , ক্যান চেঞ্জ ইয়ূর লাইফ। তিনি বলেন, আমি নিউইয়র্ক সিটি কাউন্সিলের ডিস্ট্রিক্ট ২৫ থেকে নির্বাচন করছি। আমি একজন লাইফ লং নিউইয়র্কার। আমি এই এলাকাতেই জন্মেছি এবং এখানেই বড় হয়েছি। আমি একজন সেন্ট জন্স এ্যালামনাই। 
আমি জানি ইমিগ্রান্টদের কস্ট। আমার এগারো বছর বয়সে আমার বাবা বিজনেসে কাজ শুরু করি। আমি একজন ইমিগ্রেন্ট প্যারেন্টের সন্তান হিসাবে অনেক সমস্যার মুখোমুখি হয়েছি। আমি আমার অতীত অভিজ্ঞতাকে ইমিগ্রান্ট কমিউনিটির উন্নতির জন্য  ও সহযোগিতার জন্য কাজে লাগাতে চাই। 
ডাইভারসিটি প্লাজাকে সবার জন্য গন্তব্য হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার জন্য ফাতিমা তার পিতামাতার সাথে সুখী নিউইয়র্কের সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। ফাতিমা তার পরিবারের সাথে আমেরিকানদের "এ রিজন টু সেলিব্রেট আমেরিকা" দিয়েছেন ডাইভারসিটি প্লাজার আকারে "এ স্মল সিটি ব্লক হোল্ডস দ্য ওয়ার্ল্ড" টাইম ম্যাগাজিনের জুলাই ২০১৬ সংস্করণে চিহ্নিত হয়েছিল। আজ ফাতিমা এক জাতিতে বৈচিত্র্যকে একীভূত করতে কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন। 
ফাতেমা নির্বাচিত হতে পারলে তিনি তার নির্বাচনী অঙ্গীকারগুলো ক্রমান্বয়ে পুরণ করবেন বলে আশা বাদী। 
ফাতেমা ব্যারীয়াব বলেন,  I am the daughter of immigrant parents. I graduated from St. John’s University during the Pandemic. Executive orders and mismanaged governance in New York adversely impact millions of lives and funnel billions of dollars to enrich big corporations. So, I decided to give up my dreamed career to be a Scientist & Medical Doctor and decided to become your voice at City Hall as a Lawmaker to represent the Un-represented Immigrant Communities in New York City, Suffering from Crime, Inflation, and autocracy.   
Democratic values have almost vanished in our City, we are suffering from a devastated economy, fearing losing our businesses and homes, soaring food prices, facing homelessness, hunger, joblessness, and rising violent crimes. During this past two years around 1000 innocent people were shot dead including our NYPD officers.
In this chaotic scheme of things, scammers run amok, as the Pandemic-era Justice System is failing to address the aftermath of COVID-19 new norms.
New Yorkers have been forced to move out of New York:  It is an eerie reminder that once this was the home of fleeing slaves.  And until yesterday, our state was the home for immigrant dreamers of the American Dream, who had come from all over the world.  Today, this dream has become a nightmare for all of us.
The American Dream for the working middle class became a nightmare; cross endorsements from Democratic and Republican Parties for the same candidate to block the opportunity for an Independent Candidate like Fatima. Candidate from NYC District 30 is the best example in this election having the nomination of both Parties on the ballot.  
In this District 25 Voters witness the working Family, Conservative and Medica Freedom parties have caused further divide to confuse the voter to choose their candidate on the Bellot paper. Voter will see the same name on the ballot under the Columns A, B, D and F to block & hide Fatima Baryab who is the lifelong, born and raised in this neighborhood and a Real Representative of the DIVERSITY and for the people from diverse heritages, faiths, and political views/ideology.     
 Your VOTE for Fatima Baryab in Column K shall defeat their deceptive practice and help restore Democracy.
Fatima with her parents Co-founded the SUKHI New York to foster the development by making Diversity Plaza a destination for all. Fatima along with her family gave Americans “A Reason to Celebrate America” in the shape of Diversity Plaza “A Small City Block Holds The World” was marked by the Time Magazine in the July 2016 edition.  Today Fatima Baryab is running to Integrate Diversity into One Nation. Her opponent and incumbent are impersonators and had plagiarized her and her parent’s community work and efforts in the creation of Diversity Plaza. 
Every second citizen in this town is either an immigrant or has an Immigrant heritage. To which they need a neighborhood that is >Crime and Drug Free, Clean and Green Streets, Safe Subways, Community Centers, Opportunities for Small Businesses, Facilities for Senior Citizens, Better City Hospitals, Safe Public Schools, A City with better Housing & Nourishing Food in Supermarkets. 
My Top Three Issues : Crime: Public safety is my top priority. Improve the 911 declining response time. I will advocate restoring the NYPD budget and expand Community relations. More economic resources and protection for victims of crime. We need to invest more in the Youth programs to keep them away from gangs, drugs, and emotional abuse. 
Inflation: Rising costs of living & food are crushing working class families across the board. It is possible by reducing the City Sales Tax, Parking fines, Property Tax for one- & two-family houses, City Govt Help to establish new small businesses with a tax holiday for economic growth and to create more jobs. 
Protecting: Democracy: A Voting curriculum in our educational system needs to be developed to help students in school & colleges to become leaders at Community Board. To ensure democracy at grassroot level, nomination of the Members in the Community Boards must end and be replaced with transparent elections in the Community Boards on merit to represent the under-represented communities.
